About the Cygnet Low-Cost Postgraduate Clinic

The Cygnet Low-Cost Postgraduate Clinic (LCPC) is a dedicated mental health service based in Western Australia, offering accessible, high-quality psychological support to adults and mature minors aged 16 and over. Our clinic exists to bridge the gap between the growing demand for mental health care and the financial barriers that so often prevent people from accessing it.

At the LCPC, clients are seen by provisional psychologists who are completing the final year of their Masters or PhD-level clinical training — typically their fifth or sixth year of university study. These clinicians come with substantial academic knowledge and practical experience, and bring a fresh, evidence-based perspective to every session. All practitioners are provisionally registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

What sets the LCPC apart is the calibre of supervision behind every case. All provisional psychologists are supervised by Adjunct Associate Professor Brendon Dellar and Rachael Williams — Clinical Supervisors and Managing Directors of Cygnet Clinic — who review each case to ensure clients receive the highest standard of professional care. This means you receive the benefit of both emerging clinical talent and deeply experienced senior oversight.

The clinic accepts referrals from any source, including self-referral, with no GP letter or Mental Health Care Plan required. There are no session limits, even if your Medicare-funded sessions have been exhausted. We believe everyone deserves ongoing support, regardless of circumstance.
