About the Program
What is the
LCPC?
Cygnet has a dedicated relationship with Universities to offer Masters and PhD students a practicum. These students are in their final stages of the degree prior to commencing as a Professional Registered Psychologist or Clinical Registrar.
This means that the students on practicum are in their 5th or 6th year of study and have already had considerable experience. Our LCPC practitioners are provisionally registered with AHPRA.
All LCPC clinicians are supervised by Adjunct Associate Professor Brendon Dellar and Rachael Williams — Clinical Supervisors and Managing Directors — ensuring every case is thoroughly reviewed and patients receive the highest level of professional care.
Requirements for Referral
- Referrals accepted from any channel, including self-referral
- No session limits — even if Medicare sessions are exhausted
- No GP referral or Mental Health Care Plan required
- Adults and mature minors (16+) accepted

Connect

Assess
Each referral is triaged by the Clinical Supervisor to assess suitability. If a case is deemed too complex, Cygnet will refer to a more senior member of the team or externally.
Begin
You are matched with a provisional psychologist and begin your journey. Sessions are ongoing with no limits, supported by expert clinical supervision at every step.
