Cygnet's Low-Cost Postgraduate Clinic (LCPC) is staffed by provisional psychologists who are in the final year of an accredited postgraduate degree — either a Master of Clinical Psychology or a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical). Each practitioner is provisionally registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and works under the intensive supervision of the clinic's managing director, an Adjunct Associate Professor and registered clinical supervisor. This model ensures that every client receives high-quality, evidence-based care at a substantially reduced cost.
Loui Chiarello
Provisional Psychologist
Loui is completing a Master of Applied Psychology (Clinical) at Murdoch University. He works with older adolescents and adults experiencing social anxiety, mood and emotional difficulties, relationship and interpersonal challenges, couples issues, and occupational stress.
Loui brings a warm, genuine, and deeply collaborative approach to therapy, placing the therapeutic relationship at the heart of his work. He tailors treatment to each client's unique needs, drawing on CBT, ACT, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), schema-informed and person-centred principles, alongside a research interest in breath-work and autonomic-based approaches to emotional regulation. Loui believes that meaningful change begins with feeling truly understood, and he is committed to walking alongside each client with curiosity, warmth, and evidence-based care.
Loui completed his internal practicum at the Murdoch Psychology Clinic, providing assessment, formulation, and intervention for adults presenting with anxiety, depression, OCD-related concerns, relationship difficulties, grief, and emotional regulation challenges. Prior to this, he worked with the Department of Education Western Australia across primary and secondary school settings, conducting psychological assessments and delivering targeted interventions for students with emotional, behavioural, and learning difficulties. Loui also brings several years of crisis intervention experience from his role as a telephone counsellor and student facilitator at Lifeline WA.

Dr Anna Bennetts
Provisional Psychologist
Anna is a provisional psychologist completing a Master of Clinical Psychology at Edith Cowan University. She has extensive experience working in the drug and alcohol field as a workforce development officer and counsellor prior to now completing her psychology training.
Anna is interested in working with people from all cultures and across the lifespan who would like support to change some aspect of their behaviour or who are struggling to come to terms with life change such as grief or loss. Anna brings a genuine, non-judgemental approach to all her therapeutic encounters and is experienced in various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. Anna believes that without a strong therapeutic relationship, therapy will be less effective, so she puts the client at the centre of all her encounters while approaching everyone through a trauma-informed lens.
Anna has worked in various capacities for the WA Mental Health Commission, including recently managing the Alcohol and Drug Support Service, a 24-hour counselling and support service for people needing help with alcohol and other drug issues. She previously worked at Yorgum Healing Services (2016–2018) as a provisional psychologist, where she provided clinical supervision with both counselling and Link-up staff and carried a small caseload of adult and child clients, most of whom had experienced significant trauma.

Every LCPC practitioner is supervised by the clinic's managing director — Adjunct Associate Professor Brendon Dellar or Rachael Williams (Clinical Supervisor and Managing Director). This means every case is thoroughly reviewed, treatment plans are collaboratively refined, and clients benefit from an additional layer of expert clinical oversight not typically available in private practice.
